LAHORE: The Punjab government has decided to close shops at 6pm across the province.

Sources said that the decision had been taken in view of the non-compliance of the standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to the coronavirus.

Meanwhile, the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI)  has opposed the Punjab government’s decision of closing shops at 6pm.

LCCI President Tariq Misbah said that the decision would result in rush at the markets. He suggested not to reduce the business hours, assuring that the traders would 100 per cent implement on the SOPs.
