Govt announces to remove employees lodging strikes

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Pervaiz Rasheed, announced on Monday that the government will remove every employees lodging strikes in Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), whereas, he claimed that the authorities have completed arrangements for alternative flight operation in case of any strike.

While addressing press conference in Islamabad, Pervaiz Rasheed said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif vowed to secure jobs of all PIA workers but strict action will be taken against elements lodging strikes.

Rasheed said that an alternative plan envisaged by arrangements of pilots and other staff to resume flight operations of the national flag carrier. He added that PIA workers who were lodging protests and strikes are creating troubles for nationals besides damaging international image of Pakistan.
