ISLAMABAD: Federal government defined Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) as petroleum product despite natural gas to avoid OGRA laws, that demand the pricing of natural gas through public hearing.
Now LNG will be treated as a petroleum product and its pricing can be carried out in the line with the prevailing practice for petrol and diesel prices on monthly basis.
This decision was taken in an Economic Co-ordination Committee headed by Finance Minister.
It is pertinent to mention here that LNG is defined as natural gas product.
