ISLAMABAD: Pakistan government has said that Twitter, the microblogging website will no longer unilaterally suspend or terminate accounts of users belonging to Pakistan.
According to an official statement issued here, the government had informed the Twitter officials during a meeting held recently that suspension of accounts caused unrest and anger among Pakistani users.
The officials of the social website were requested to amend their policy in this connection.
The statement further said that now the social networking site will contact the Pakistan government in case of any complaint and no longer suspend unilaterally the accounts of users belonging to Pakistan.
