Kings set 160-run target for Gladiators

DUBAI: Karachi kings made 159 runs for the loss of eight wickets against Quetta Gladiators in fifth T20 twenty match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) played here on Saturday at Dubai International Stadium.

Tymal Mills got the Gladiators the first breakthrough. Thisara Perera struck second, taking danger-man Chris Gayle down in the fifth over.

Babar Azam and Kumar Sangakkara steadied the ship again until the end of the 11th over, when the former Sri Lankan batsman was caught out off Perera.

Earlier, Quetta Gladiators captain Sarfraz Ahmed had won the toss and decided to field first against Kumar Sangakara’s Karachi kings in fifth T20 twenty match played here on Saturday.

Quetta Gladiators faced off against Karachi Kings twice in last year’s PSL, winning both of the matches.
