RAWALPINDI: Pakistani Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif has paid three-day official visit to Italy where they would meet political and military leadership, Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG-ISPR) said on Monday.
General Raheel Sharif held important meeting with Italian Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni during his visit. Italian FM Gentiloni lauded positive role of Pakistan in regional security.
He commended Pakistan Army as symbol of great hope for peace and stability for whole region as well as for the entire World-6, DG-ISPR tweeted.
COAS visited weapon-making factories of Italy and Air Defence Headquarter of Italian Army where he was briefed over details on weapon systems, doctrine and their training techniques.
General Raheel also paid visit to Defence and Security Industrial GP in order to explore wide defence coolaboration and cooperation between both countries.
