The Gilgit Baltistan Legislative Assembly has unanimously passed a resolution condemning Muttahida Qumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain for his irresponsible statements.

The resolution was tabled in the House by PML(N) member Aurangzeb Khan Advocate.

The Assembly paid tribute to Pak Army for their great sacrifices for the defense of motherland and relief and rescue operations during natural calamities.

On July 29, an anti-terrorism court in Gilgit issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Hussain for using derogatory language against Pakistan Army and the paramilitary forces.

The decision was announced by judge Raja Shahbaz of ATC-I. The court became the first in the country to issue warrants for the MQM supremo.
