Gang involved in DSP killings identified: IG Sindh

KARACHI: Inspector General Police Sindh Ghulam Haider Jamali on Wednesday claimed that the police have identified the gang involved in killing os several police officers of deputy superintendent ranks.

Vowing to bring the culprits to justice, Jamali said that the a single gang is involved in the killing of DSPs in District West and Malir.

He further announced that all DSP rank officers will be provided with bullet proof vehicles while a new van will be placed at all police stations.

The cop claimed that police have arrested 400 criminals besides killing 53 target killers in last five months.

It must be noted that at least three DSPs have been killed in last two months in Karachi with the latest being DSP Majeed Abbas who was killed on Tuesday (yesterday) when armed assailants opened fire on a police van in Shah Latif Town area of the city.
