PARIS: Gadget ‘allergy’: French woman got disability grant disability allowance for gadget allergy.

A women Marine Richard got cash for gadget allergy in France. She told the court that she suffered from an allergy to electromagnetic radiation from gadgets.

The court ordered to pay her €800 (£580) per month for three years as a result. Richard said that it was a breakthrough for people affected by electromagnetic hypersensitivity (EHS).

Richard had resorted to living in a remote area in the mountains of south-west France – in a barn that has no electricity. She said she had been affected by everyday gadgets such as phones.

The disability allowance was granted by a court in Toulouse, though the ruling did not formally recognize EHS as an illness.
