French President Francois Hollande addressed a joint session of parliament, the third address by a French president to a joint session of parliament since 1848, where he announced, ‘France is at war.’
President Francois Hollande announced that French nation is not weak and it will fight terrorism. He proposed a law extending the country’s state of emergency for three months, foreign media reported.
He added that terrorists have targeted innocent French citizens. He urged major amendments in the constitution to get rid of terrorism. He praised efforts of French police during the tough situation. He said that citizenship of the terrorists will be suspended and they would be deported from the country.
