KARACHI: Deputy Inspector General Traffic Karachi Ameer Sheikh has said that they would distribute free helmets among women at four different places next week in metropolis Karachi. He said that helmets are compulsory for bike riders and their companions sitting behind them, whether they were women or men. He said that they would distribute free helmets among women to encourage them to wear helmet.
The DIG said that the traffic police would strictly act upon the law from June 8th. He requested the philanthropists to support in this regard. He said that the helmet-drive was purely to safeguard the lives of public.
