PARIS: France has asked its citizens and companies working in Pakistan to temporarily leave the country.
Sources said that the French embassy in Islamabad has circulated an email to its citizens present in the country advising them to temporarily leave the country. It added that the French interests in Pakistan had received severe threats.
The evacuation of French nationals from Pakistan will be carried out through available commercial flights, the email further said.
The French Embassy, when contacted by a local TV, confirmed the circulation of the email to its citizens. However, it will remain opened and continue work with a limited staff.
