FPCCI plans to exploit business potential in all districts

LAHORE: FPCCI Punjab (Zone) Chairman Manzoor-ul-Haq Malik on Sunday said the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) had chalked out a plan to exploit business potentials in various districts of the country, Manzoor-ul-Haq Malik, who was also Vice President FPCCI, in an interview with APP, said Pakistan was blessed with huge potential and resources which could not be taped in the past due to different reasons.

“By exploiting the potential, we can generate huge financial resources and resultantly the economy will get a big boost,” he added.

He said by arranging some boats at Head-Marala for tourists, besides providing recreation facilities there, and earn huge money as well.

There were several such options of different kinds which need to be utilised, he added.

He said the government officials need to improveliason with our people in their respective districts for collective betterment.

The FPCCI had 19 chambers of commerce and industry in Punjab i.e. Lahore, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sheikhupura, Gujrat, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Sargodha, Multan, Bahawalpur, etc.

He said remaining districts were attached with the chambers nearby them.

“Every district has some special potential; we will empower our people in the districts and work hand in hand with them to redress the issues towards boosting the business potentials.”

We would work sector-wise and step by step and counter all the challenges in our way, he added.

He said, “We have to empower each district. When we will do it, the investors will come, standard operating procedures (SOPs) will be formed, weaknesses in legal system will be removed, data will be registered and opportunities for training, education, technical know-how and skill improvement will be focused.”

He said every Pakistani had to work hard to regain the past glory.

Small traders and women would be taken on board, as they were also committed to working and achieving good status in society.

“The women and small entrepreneurs are also credible and they want to get ahead; we need to give them confidence and remove fears and apprehensions in their way.”

Manzoor Malik said: “FPCCI’s present body consists of experienced people and like its President Zubair Tufail, senior vice president Amir Atta Bajwa and other people. We are working in coordination with our people in other parts of the country like those in Quetta, Peshawar etc.”

He said the FPCCI would also work for its corporate social responsibility.

“We have started collecting data of different issues, including environment, health care, sports etc. and we will work with the government institutions in this regard,” he said.
