Four terrorists gunned down in Sheikhupura: Two arrested in Multan

SHEIKHUPRA/MULTAN: At least four terrorists were gunned down by Counter Terrorism Department in a raid conducted in Sheikhupura on Wednesday.

According to reports, the suspects were killed near Sheikhupra bypass, however, their three accomplices managed to flee from the spot. CTD claimed that the deceased were affiliated with a proscribed organization.

Three of the slain terrorists were identified as Rizwan alias Asif Chotu, Ali Sufyan and Noor-ul-Amin. Rizwan was nominated in 100 murder cases and had a head money of Rs 3,000,000, a CTD spokesman said.

According to reports, personnel recovered weapons and 3 kg explosives from the suspects. The suspects belonged to banned organization, a CTD spokesman said.

Meanwhile two terrorists were arrested in Seetal Mari area of Multan on Wednesday. Reports said the terrorists were identified as Kashif from Lahore and Iftikhar from Pakpattan.

During initial investigation, they admitted of receiving training in Afghanistan in 2012 and had come to Multan for terrorist activities.
