QUETTA: A sub inspector and three other police officers were killed as unknown assailants opened fire on a police van in Quetta.
According to initial details, unknown gunmen opened fire on a police van in Pashtunabad area of Quetta city, killing four policemen.
A sub inspector, a driver and two police officers were killed on the spot.
Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif condemned the incident in strong words and said that such attacks cannot dampen the spirit of Pakistani law enforcers’ in their fight against terrorism.
The premier also condoled with the families of the deceased police officers.
