ISLAMABAD: Four more petitions had been filed on Monday against the call of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) for protests and sit-ins in federal capital.
The petitions were filed by the citizens including Tasleem Abbasi, Raja Maqsood Hussain, Faiz Ahmed Cheema and Muhabillah.
The petitioners had prayed the court to issue stay order against the PTI’s protests and also direct Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) to stop telecast of interview of PTI’s chief Imran Khan.
The petitioner stated that Imran Khan was already proclaimed offender in Parliament and PTV buildings attack case.
The IGP had failed to arrest the PTI leader.
They further stated that the protests would not only cause study loss of children but also affect business in the city.
Interior Ministry, IGP Islamabad, PEMRA and Imran Khan Niazi had been nominated as respondents in the petitions.
It may be mentioned here that one similar petition was already pending with the court and another one had been disposed off.
