At least four alleged terrorists were killed in an reported police battle near Super Highway of the metropolis Karachi on Monday (today), Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Malir Rao Anwar said.
SSP Rao Anwar said that police on a tip off raided area near Super Highway where the culprits resorted to firing on the security officials while retaliation left four terrorists dead.
The police officer claimed that the deceased terrorists were belonged to an outlawed organisation and weapons, explosives were also recovered from their possession. SSP Anwar said that the dead bodies were shifted to hospital for post-mortem.
Later, the police officer said that one of the terrorists was identified as Akbar who was commander of banned Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan Swat group.
