Former Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) chief Pervaiz Akhtar Shah has been arrested by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) over charges of corruption of millions.
Pervaiz Akhtar Shah is facing charges of having illegal assets worth more than Rs20 crore and he also bought 10 expensive plots in Islamabad and four in Peshawar, NAB sources said.
PESCO chief was presented in the accountability court before Justice Ibrahim Khan here on Saturday. The court handed him over 12-day physical remand to the investigation team.
Sources revealed that Shah was also arrested four months ago over corruption charges by Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) while he was later released.
