KARACHI: Former provincial minister and prominent Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Raza Haroon has arrived in Karachi from Dubai.

As per details, the MQM leader reached the mega city from Dubai via an international airline. Haroon didn’t speak to media personnel on his arrival but departed from the airport in a vehicle.

A driver and a personal friend accompanied him as his vehicle drove away from the Quaid-e-Azam International Airport.

Haroon is being touted to be the next MQM member who will deflect from the party and join Mustafa Kamal’s group of dissidents.

Kamal will hold a joint press conference today at 03:00 pm and it is expected that Haroon will join him and renounce his affiliation with MQM publicly.

Raza Haroon was considered an integral member of the MQM and also held the portfolio of the provincial minister for Information Technology.

For the past couple of years, he had distanced himself from the party and was said to be in United Kingdom. Though he did not criticise the party in public and remained a member of MQM, he had become relatively inactive.
