KARACHI: The funeral prayers for Naimatullah Khan, the former Karachi Nazim and Jamaat-e-Islami leader will be offered on Wednesday at the Jamaat-e-Islami headquarters Idara Noor-eHaq.
According to JI Secretary Information Zahid Askari, the funeral prayers for the former Karachi mayor will be offered at the Idara Noor-e-Haq after Zuhr prayers on Wednesday.
The former Karachi Nazim has passed away today after protracted illness.
The senior JI leader had served as a mayor of Karachi from 2001 to 2005.
He held a degree in law.
Meanwhile, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and Governor Imran Ismail had voiced sorrow over the demise of Naimatullah Khan.
The governor said that the former mayor’s efforts for the development of Karachi could not be forgotten.
