Fitch: Imran to remain in custody in near future, PML-N govt to continue for 18 months

ISLAMABAD: Opposition leader in the National Assembly and PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif has proposed three names to Prime Minister Imran Khan for the appointment of new Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) on Saturday. 

In a letter to the prime minister, the opposition leader proposed names of Nasir Mahmood Khosa, Jalil Abbas Jillani and Ikhlaq Ahmed Tarrar for the office of CEC.

Incumbent CEC Justice (Retd) Sardar Raza, who was appointed on Dec 6, 2014, is retiring from the office on Dec 6.
