Karachi:The Chairman of Pakistan Footwear Manufacturers Association (PFMA) – Mr. FarrukhSaleem and Senior Vice-Chairman PFMA – Mr. AbidHafeez met the Prime Minister’s Advisor for Finance – Mr. Miftah Ismail, inviting him to be the Chief Guest at the inauguration ceremony of the upcoming 4thPakistan Mega Leather Show (PMLS18) scheduled to be held on 27th of January, 2018.
During the meeting, these business-leaders also discussed several important issues being faced by the Footwear industry of Pakistan. Mr. Miftah Ismail responded favorably to their invitation and promised to look into the matters and to work for resolution of these problems. Pakistan Mega Leather Show is a series of vibrant, annual events promoting a wide range of leather products; including Footwear, Garments, Gloves, etc. The event also features a special exhibition of the high-quality products manufactured by the Footwear-Manufacturing industry of Pakistan. The Pakistan Mega Leather Show is orchestrated with the collaboration of four highly resourceful associations including footwear, leather goods, tanneries, gloves and leather garments. The PMLS 2018 promises to be the biggest exhibition of leather based products in the country’s history.
The Chairman of PFMA expressed his gratitude for the support of Mr. Miftah Ismail. Commenting on the great potential of Pakistan’s leather industry he stated that; “Production and tanning of leather along with manufacturing of leather-goods is the second biggest export-oriented industry in the manufacturing sector of Pakistan and it is the third largest contributor towards the overall exports of the country.”
The event will provide great business opportunities and valuable information for entrepreneurs, investors and all other stakeholders of this robust industry. Given the sheer scale of this show and its benefits for these businesses, the organizers have always received an overwhelming response from the industry and its customers.
