KUALA LUMPUR: As many as five mountaineers were killed when a high intensity earthquake of magnitude 6.0 jolted Ranau, Malaysia.
According to the US Geological Survey, the earthquake jolted Kinabalu mountain which killed five climbers.
However no loss of property reported yet.
Experts are of the view that such shocks of mild frequency and intensity are of regular nature owing to the geography of these areas and have nothing to do with the earthquake that had hit Nepal.
