Five killed in different incidents

FAISALABAD, Sept 9: Five persons were killed in different incidents in and around Faisalabad during the past 12 hours.

Police spokesman said here on Friday that a speeding car hit and killed a motorcyclist Qaisar Abbas near Koh-e-Noor Chowk at Jaranwala Road, while 15-year-old Rehmat-Ullah and 9-year-old Muhammad Zeeshan were crushed to death in different accidents near Mari Patan and near Chak No 61-RB.

In another incident, 35-year-old Riyasat, a resident of Chak No 239-GB, drowned in Gogera Brannch Canal while bathing his buffaloes. Rescue 1122 fished out the body and handed it over to his relatives for burial. In yet another incident, Abrar Shah, a resident of Chak No 463-GB, committed suicide after his estranged wife his house.

Meanwhile, 18-year-old Shehzad, a resident of Dhuddiwala, 48-year-old Younus, a resident of Waris Pura, and 30-year-old Shazia, a resident of Chak No 227-RB, also attempted suicide by swallowing poisonous pills in different incidents.

They all were shifted to hospitals where doctors are striving to save their lives.
