MUZAFFARGARH: At least five people fainted and hospitalised after they consumed toxic sweets here on Friday.
Sources said that five people belonging to Sultan Colony of district Muzaffargarh consumed sweets which turned poisonous due to unknown reasons resultantly their condition deteriorated.
The affectees were shifted to hospital where two people with critical condition were referred to Nishtar Hospital Multan.
It is worth to mention that about two dozen people died and scores were affected of toxic sweets in Layyah a couple of weeks earlier.
