SARGODHA: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the for the first time a housing scheme had been launched on a large scale in the country.

“An ordinary citizen can never think of owning a house. It is my effort that every Pakistani owns a house, he added.

The prime minister was speaking at a ceremony held in connection with the “Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme” here on Wednesday.

He said that about 40 per cent of the population in Karachi lives in slums.
