MULTAN: Former Pakistani Prime Minister and central leader of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Yousaf Raza Gillani said that first telephonic conversation was made with his abducted son, Ali Haider Gillani, during ceremony in Jalalpur.
While addressing press conference in Multan, Yousaf Raza Gillani confirmed to hear voice of his son kidnapped two years ago during an election campaign in Farrukh Town area of Multan city .Ex-prime minister said that he was attending a ceremony when telephonic contact was made with his son.
Intelligence agencies informed him regarding presence of his son in Afghanistan, Gillani said. He added that abductors cannot be reached without mediator while the kidnappers wanted to exchange Ali Haider Gillani with Al-Qaeda women and children. He also claimed that deaths of the abductors were reported in a drone attack.
During his press address, Gillani said that he also held meeting with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif to discuss release of his son.
