FIR filed against K-Electric in Karachi electrocution cases

KARACHI: Paposh Nagar Police on Friday registered a first information report (FIR) against K-Electric after a man electrocuted to death while recent rain in metropolis.

SHO Faruq Hashmi said that the man, Shaikh Saad Ahmed, had been electrocuted on 29th July in the limit of Paposh Nagar Police station near Chandi Chowk.

He said the victim’s brother approached the police to register FIR against K-Electric’s administration.

The FIR no. 160/19 was registered against negligence of K-Electric under 322 Pakistan Penal Code.

It is pertinent to mention here that as many as 21 people were electrocuted to death so far during recent monsoon in the city.
