The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Director General (DG) Mohammad Amlish has been removed from his position, local media reported citing its sources.
The move came house after he attended high level meeting chaired by Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan.
FIA DG was grilled about reports that were leaked to the media. The minister had said that an inquiry would be conducted into the matter.
According to a participant of the meeting, DG Amlish reportedly said: “It seems as if I have lost your confidence”. The minister responded by saying, “I will talk to you later.”
