ISLAMABAD: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Islamabad Zone on Monday arrested Basharat Mirza Ex-Executive Director (ED) Oil and Gas Development Corporation Limited (OGDCL) on charges of financial corruption, senior FIA officer said.
The accused was arrested by FIA after cancellation of pre-arrest bail, said FIA Director Inam Ghani.
He said that the accused is allegedly involved in awarding and execution of Sinjhoro Flow Lines Project on far higher rates of Rs951 millions as compared to the engineer estimates of Rs 270 Millions. Work was awarded in April 2014. Accused will be presented in court for obtaining physical remand on Tuesday.
