RAWALPINDI: The cyber-crime wing of the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) has arrested two people for allegedly posting tweets against the Supreme Court judges and the Pak Army.
One of the arrested is reportedly belonging to ruling Pakistan Muslim League-N.
The arrests have been made in the light of an FIR registered by Ibrar Ahmed against the two accused.
The complainant hailing from Islamabad stated, in the FIR, that such illegal activities were inciting hatred and contempt against the state institutions.
Later, the FIA after an inquiry arrested Anwar Adil and Wajid Rasul Malik from Rawalpindi for posting content deemed to be contemptuous of major state organs on Twitter.
The accused had been shifted to an undisclosed location for investigation.
