Federal, provincial govts didn’t have legal authority to pass budgets: Baloch

Secretary General, Jamaat e Islami, Liaqat Baloch, has said that the federal and the provincial governments did not have the legal authority to pass the budgets for the next financial year and they should not go beyond their mandate.

In a statement here on Wednesday, he said that the federal and the provincial budgets during the last five years had been a great burden on the masses and loans and interest continued to rise. He said that the present rulers should not create problems for the next government.

Liaqat Baloch said that the new elected governments should be given the chance to prepare their economic policy and give the budgets.

He urged the Chief Justice of Pakistan to take suo moto notice of the killing of an innocent young man by a US diplomat. He said that the culprit should not be allowed to flee the country.
