Meeting held between Federal government and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) provincial government relating to power load shedding has been concluded in Islamabad.
High-level meeting between federal and KP provincial government held between federal minister of water and power Khawaja Muhammad Asif and Chief Minister KP Pervez Khattak to discuss load shedding, electricity theft and other issues.
Both parties agreed to make strict action against culprits involved in electricity theft in the country.
The meeting was attended by federal petroleum minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, finance minister Ishaq Dar, planning and development minister Ahsan Iqbal, state minister of water and power Abid Sher Ali and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Asad Umar.
Khawaja Muhammad Asif said that power theft is not only an issue of a province but of the whole country. He said that federal government decided to resolve all matters and federal authorities would maintain contacts with the provincial government in this regards.
CM KP Pervez Khattak thanked federal government to listen all issues and said that agreement was made on various matters. He said that the dialogues would be organised again on May 26 to seek resolutions.
