PESHAWAR: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Ameer Sirajul Haq has said that the federal government was preferring particular areas for the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and demanded the government to extend the project to other provinces.
While addressing to a ceremony at fort Manda on the parents days, he said that they would transform the country into an Islamic welfare state by an educational revolution. He demanded of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to issue the notification about KP-95 in compliance with the court orders.
Sirajul Haq demanded of the federal government to link tribal areas with the CPEC so as to facilitate the tribal areas and Malakand Division.
The JI Chief said that peace could not be restored in tribal areas without making economic activities in the areas.
He said that the federal government should not bypass the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the CPEC. The JI leader asked the JI elected candidates to make mosques their centres and serve the people.
