KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah on Saturday said the Sindh government did not get a single penny as yet from the federal government for Karachi Operation.

‘Karachi operation will continue because everyone wants peace in the city,’ he said while talking to media during inauguration of private wards and operation theater of Karachi Institute of Heart Diseases (KIHD) in Karachi.

This should be noted that CM’s this speech is being speculated in the media to influence local bodies elections which are just around the corner.

He dispelled the impression that city was being neglected by the Sindh government and said the Sindh government paid special attention on development of Karachi. An amount of Rs64 billion would be spent on various developmental schemes in the city.

Qaim Ali Shah said health and education was ignored in past, hence the Sindh government would spend Rs64 billion on different sectors. So that people could avail cheap health and educational facilities.
