FC’s role in restoring peace, public order commendable: Interior Minister

CHARSADDA: Interior Minister, Ahsan Iqbal said here Wednesday the role of the Frontier Constabulary (FC) in maintaining peace and public order was multifaceted and highly commendable, saying today peace was restored in the country due to matchless sacrifices by the law enforcing agencies.  

He was addressing passing out parade of FC recruits at Frontier Constabulary Training Center Shabqadar here today.

The country has achieved great successes in the war against terror and it was possible due to supreme sacrifices of armed forces, civilian forces and FC.

Ahsan Iqbal said Frontier Constabulary is being equipped with modern weapons for better performance.

He said the Pakistani forces were also playing a vital role in the United Nations peace missions in different countries that was praised worthy.

Pakistan had defeated terrorism and this was possible due to numerous sacrifices by our armed forces, civil forces and law enforcement agencies, he maintained.

The defence of a country is connected with economic development, which needs peace and political stability, he said.

Interior Minister said that the international news weeks were now considering Pakistan as the fast developing economy of the region and Pakistan was moving on right direction to achieve economic prosperity and sustained development.

Ahsan Iqbal said defence of Pakistan was made impregnable and now no one can dare to cast an evil eye against our country.

He said that Pakistan, which was being assumed as country not safe for investment till 2013, was now on the path of betterment, economic progress and development, owing to the goal-oriented policies of PML-N Government.

The Interior Minister said Pakistan had sustained huge human and financial losses in war against terrorism and the country now deserved world acknowledgment.

Peace and political stability was imperative for economic progress and completion of developmental projects in the country, saying China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) was a gift of PMLN government for people of Pakistan that would bring massive economic development in almost all sectors in the country.

He said record development projects worth billions of rupees were launched during tenure of PML-N government that upon completion would change destiny of people.

Ahsan asked the passed out recruits to utilize their training and skills during their professional life and work with dedication and professional zeal.

The Minister said that government would enhance the capacity building and training of FC troops and assured that all genuine problems of the force would be addressed on priority basis.

Earlier, the Minister inspected the parade of nearly nine hundred twenty-six recruits and took solute from the smartly turned out contingents.

Later, he gave away trophies to the outstanding recruits and position holders. Senior FC officials besides relatives of the recruits were present on the occasion.
