ISLAMABAD: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) chief Fazlur Rehman held meeting with Prime Minister’s advisor Ashtar Ausaf Ali in Islamabad on Saturday.
Fazlur Rehman and Ashtar Ausaf Ali agreed that resignations could be returned till release of a formal notification.
Sources said that Fazlur Rehman along with his legal team met PM’s advisor Ashtar Ausaf Ali today. Both high-ups exchanged views of resignations of MQM lawmakers.
On the occasion, JUI-F chief said that resignations could not be returned after its submission. Whereas, Ashtar Ausaf Ali said that the resignations can be returned before issuance of formal notification in light of judicial regulations.
Both leaders also agreed that neither the government will make any advice to the Speaker National Assembly nor it would influence over his special powers as approval or denial of the resignations are the special authorities of Speaker NA.
