Lahore: Provincial Minister for Colonies Fayyaz-Ul-Hassan Chohan got an additional charge of Punjab Jail Department here on Tuesday.
According to a notification, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar gave the additional charge of Jail Department to the provincial minister.
On Monday, Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chohan was removed from the post of Punjab information minister.
According to the notification, former special assistance to the prime minister Firdous Ashiq Awan has been appointed as the Chief Minister’s special assistant on information.
Firdous Awan has been appointed as special assistance for information to Chief Minister of Punjab in place of Jawed Akhtar, the notification added.
Chohan will also serve as a provincial minister for colonies.
After the appointment, Firdous said: “I will try my best to fulfill new responsibilities in the best ways.”
