Karachi: Fawad Alam’s century on the second day of the Karachi Test against South Africa strengthened Pakistan’s position.
On the second day of the match being played at the National Stadium in Karachi, Pakistan started their first incomplete innings with 33 runs for 4 wickets while Azhar Ali and Fawad Alam were present at the wicket for 5 runs each.
Both the Pakistani batsmen batted responsibly and brought the team’s score to 121. Azhar Ali was dismissed for 51 while Mohammad Rizwan also returned to the pavilion for 33. However, Fawad Alam continued his innings.
Fawad Alam scored a century while performing brilliantly but he was dismissed for 109 runs.
Faheem Ashraf also played a responsible game and he returned to the pavilion with 64 runs. Thus, at the end of the second day, Pakistan have scored 308 runs for the loss of 8 wickets and the Pakistan are now 88 runs ahead of South Africa.
