Islamabad: Father to get one-month leave from workplace on the birth of his child.
In this connection, the National Assembly’s standing committee on Law and Justice has approved a bill with a majority of votes here on Tuesday.
The bill says a father deserves one month while a mother six months leave on the birth of their first child.
On the delivery of a second kid, the mother will get four months while a father will receive one month off from their workplace.
Similarly, a mother is eligible to take three months leave while a father is entitled to get one month off on the birth of their third child, the bill added.
The law will be applicable to all the government and private institutions in the federal capital.
