Senior Mutahidda Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Farooq Sattar says MQM wholly accepts the constitution of Pakistan and denounce any statement that goes against country’s integrity. MQM should operate from Pakistan alone.
Farooq Sattar talking to media said he wanted to present party’s point of view yesterday but weren’t allowed, will state the same today.
MQM senior Member National Assembly said “we had never expected such a situation which took place yesterday”
MQM will see to it this doesn’t repeat from its platform again, Farooq Sattar added.
“We were with our friends, the Rangers, for eight hours… It should be clear that we are not under the influence of anyone else.”
“We were not expecting that the situation would unfold in such a manner. Certain things were said that shouldn’t have been said,” Sattar said. “Anti-Pakistan slogans should not have been chanted.”
Dr. Farooq Sattar said we have decided to address’ mental stresses (a reason given by MQM Chief for his anti-state elements).
“We own that there is a problem, and Altaf Hussain keeps asking for forgiveness. Until this issue is addressed, we’ve decided that sanity should prevail,” Sattar said.
