KARACHI: A Family Mushaira in collaboration with Karachi Press Club held at its premises on the 46th foundation day of Daily Jasarat on Saturday night.
Famous poets, senior journalists, Jasarat alumni and renowned personalities participated in the mushaira. Famous poet Rasa Chughtai chaired the mushaira, while Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi Ameer Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman was the chief guest.
Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi Naib Ameer and Jasarat’s Chief Executive Officer Muslim Pervez, former MPA Younis Barai were present in the mushaira.
Ajmal Siraj, Shakeel Khan and Secretary KPC H.A. Khanzada performed the responsibilities of stage secretary. Famous poets Ajaz Rehmani, Sahar Ansari, Anwar Shaoor, Inayat Ali Khan, Doctor Fatima , Khalid Irfan, Rashid Noor, Shahnawaz Farooqi, Fazil Jamili and other poets presented their poems and received applause from the audience.
While addressing the audience, JI Karachi Ameer Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman appreciated Jasarat’s efforts toward unbiased journalism and declared it the voice of truth. He said, ” Jasarat is not only a news paper, it is a mission also.”
