NEW DELHI: Indian Air Force pilot Abhinandan, who was captured in Pakistan after a failed attack on Balakot, has been promoted to rank of Group Captain.
According to Indian media, the failed Wing Commander of Indian Air Force had been elevated to the rank of Group Captain, which is equal to the army’s rank of colonel.
The Indian pilot was captured by Pakistan Army during the failed attack on Balakot in February, 2019.
Later, Pakistan had handed over the pilot to India as a goodwill gesture.
