ISLAMABAD: Federal Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid has said that all political parties are agreed on Karachi operation but the decision regarding Rangers deployment has not yet been taken.
Talking to journalists in Islamabad on Tuesday, he said that powers of Rangers would be decided under the law and constitution.
He said that all institutions are working in their constitutional ambit. He said Federal Government is supporting provincial government according to law and constitution.
Later addressing a seminar on “impact of narcotics on economy”, he said collective efforts are required to eliminate drug trafficking from the country.
The Information Minister said that elimination of terrorism and restoration of peace in Karachi is the prime responsibility of the government. He reiterated the commitment of Pakistan to stand along the International community in the fight against drugs. He said spreading of drugs is nuisance in the society.
