Ex-PM Nawaz’s health improving: doctors

LAHORE: Platelets count of former PM Nawaz Sharif have increased from 7,000 to 20,000, showing a sign of improvement here on Thursday.

This was stated by Services Institute of Medical Sciences (SIMS) Principal Dr Mahmood Ayyaz.

The former premier has been diagnosed with immune thrombocytopenia as per initial medical reports, Dr Ayyaz said, adding that his bone marrow is fully functional. According to doctors at SIMS, thrombocytopenia is a curable disease.
