ISLAMABAD: Former Additional Senate Secretary Rana Ghulam Murtaza has been arrested on corruption charges on the order of Islamabad High Court on Wednesday.
Murtaza is alleged of buying housing society land on expensive rates which has inflicted Rs40 million loss to the state treasury. He had submitted an anticipatory bail in IHC. However, his arrest warrant was issued today after cancelling his plea of bail before arrest by the court.
Taking action on court order, police arrested Rana Ghulam Murtaza from the court.
