WASHINGTON: As Microsoft Windows 10 is all set to release on July 29 but everyone is not getting the highly anticipated upgrade of the operating System.

The software giant has announced to roll out the upgrade on 29 of the month but not everyone is getting the update because the operating system is going to roll out in waves.

Microsoft previously announced that Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 users are eligible for the free upgrade on the release date.

With the new announcement, it seems that not everyone, not even those who signed up for the upgade, are going to get it on the day.

The software company will be releasing the operating system to Windows Insiders first. The insiders are those who signed up for the beta testing. Users eligible for upgrade will get it at a later date not yet announced by Microsoft.

“We will start notifying reserved systems in waves, slowly scaling up after 29 July. Each day of the rollout, we will listen, learn and update the experience for all Windows 10 users,” according to the post.

There’s an option to reserve the new OS. However, this will not ensure that you get the upgrade on July 29. There is no clarity as to when users can get Windows 10.” Microsoft’s Terry Myerson wrote.

Microsoft still sticks to July 29 marker for succeeding announcements. Followers can only wait at this point.
