ISLAMABAD: PML-N Vice-President Maryam Nawaz has said that within the constitutional parameters a dialogue could be held with the military.
In her interview with the British Broadcast Corporation (BBC), the PML-N leader said: “Pak Army is my institution. We will definitely talk but not secretly.”
We can consider initiating talks from the platform of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), she said, setting a condition of sending the “fake government” home first.
Maryam Nawaz further said: “I am not against the institution but if we want to move forward then this government should go home.”
She claimed that the establishment had made contact with many people around her. However, she added that no direct contact had so far been made with her.
