ANKARA: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has termed the European Union’s attitude towards the eastern Mediterranean as its sincerity test.
According to the President’s office, Erdogan had told European Council President Charles Michel to take an impartial position on Ankara’s dispute with Greece.
The provocative statements issued on regional matters by the EU politicians will not help find a just and lasting solution, the president added.
He called on the member countries and institutions of the European Union to be impartial and show responsibility in their behaviour on the eastern Mediterranean issue as well other regional issues.
