KUALA LUMPUR: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Thursday called upon the Muslims countries to cooperate with each other to prevent further deaths of Muslims as over 90 per cent of the people that killed in various conflicts are Muslims in the world.
Criticising the increasing presence of arms in Muslims countries, Erdogan said that Middle East buys one of the three weapons sold globally.
As a result of buying more weapons by the Muslims countries, arms dealers in the West are becoming wealthier, the president added.
The Turkish president expressed these view while speaking at the opening session of the Kuala Lumpur Summit being held here.
He also stressed the need for introducing reforms in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) with the view to defend human rights more effectively.
